For my screencast, I created a tutorial explaining how to change the color and speed of the mouse pointer on an Apple Mac computer running macOS Sequoia 15.6.1. I used Zoom to share my screen and record the tutorial directly to my computer. After recording, I watched the video and trimmed it as needed.
The most challenging part was recording the entire tutorial in one take. I had to rerecord it several times because I would stumble over my words or miss a step. Even though the final version is still not perfect, I am happy with how it turned out. My screencast is also slightly longer than the prompt requested, but I felt that the additional time was necessary to explain each step clearly. Overall, this experience showed me that creating a short and effective screencast takes more planning and practice than I expected.
